meet auntie Joy

I am the Founder and Owner of Auntie Joy’s Storyhouse Slime Factory, a place created from my love for children, children’s books, creativity, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

For more than 20 years, I have worked with children and families as a daycare owner and director, Georgia Pre-K teacher, special education teacher, and Early Childhood Education high school instructor. Throughout my career, I have always believed that children learn best when they are engaged, excited, creating, and having fun.

Auntie Joy’s Storyhouse began with my love for children’s literature and my desire to bring stories to life beyond the pages of a book. But the Slime Factory was also inspired by my daughter, Chanel, and her love for slime. What started as something fun we enjoyed together grew into a bigger vision: creating a colorful, hands-on destination where children and families could laugh, explore, experiment, create, and make memories together.

Today, Auntie Joy’s Storyhouse Slime Factory combines the magic of storytelling with slime-making, STEM activities, creative crafts, sensory experiences, art, and lots of children’s laughter. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel excited to discover something new and proud of what they create.

Our vision is to grow Auntie Joy’s Storyhouse Slime Factory into a household name—a family destination and retail brand known for creative slime experiences, exciting products, gently used children’s books, STEM fun, and joyful learning.

Whether a child is mixing the perfect slime, choosing colorful charms, completing a STEM experiment, creating a craft, listening to a story, or simply laughing with friends, our goal is the same: to create an experience they will remember long after they leave.

At Auntie Joy’s Storyhouse Slime Factory, we are building more than slime. We are creating stories, memories, creativity, and childhood joy—one experience at a time.
